Project Overview

This project involves the design of two covered deck roof additions. The site is located in the Danni Ranch neighborhood, overlooking the East River Valley. The goal of the project was to create two covered deck roof additions, one for the primary residence, and one for the guest house. The additions serve to protect the decks from the snow during winter, and shade the decks from the harsh summer sun.

My Role

Serving as the lead project designer, I was involved in all phases of the design process. The additions were designed to flow with the existing aesthetics of the primary residence and guest house. The client desired a straightforward design that would minimize construction costs, while maximizing added value to the property.

Results

The project was a great success. Construction was completed in the Fall of 2024. The clients were satisfied that the design and build of the home remained within their budget and created covered deck areas that can be utilized during the heavy snowfall months of winter.
