This project involves the design of a new single-family home for a married couple. The site is located in a rural neighborhood just outside of Marble, Colorado. The home is located on a large site just south of the Crystal river, with expansive views of Ragged Mountain Ridge. The goal of the project is to create a home that will allow a family to grow and prosper within, while connecting with the river and mountains that lie just outside the home.
Serving as the project design lead, I was involved in all phases of the design. Together with the client, we shaped a home that allows for their family to grow while maintaining a tight budget. The home will include solar panels on the south facing roof to create a sustainable energy footprint. Mountain home living is about having space to be comfortable within, while constantly looking outwards towards the natural mountain beauty.
