Project Overview

This project involves the design of a new single-family home for a married couple. The site is located in the Chalet Village residential development in the town of Mount Crested Butte. The home is located on a medium sized neighborhood lot, with expansive views of the Elk Mountains. The goal of the project was to create a modestly sized home, that can hold recreation equipment and serve as a home base for adventures in the mountains during all seasons of the year.

My Role

My role involved creating 3D renderings for the client during the design development stage to help visualize exterior materials and general building form. I created additional renderings once plans were finalized to assist with acquiring a building permit from the Mount Crested Butte design review board.

Results

The project was a great success. Construction was completed in the Spring of 2024. The clients were satisfied that the design and build of the home remained within their budget.
