Project Overview
This project involves the design of two covered deck roof additions for the Hudiberg home, located in the Danni Ranch neighborhood, overlooking the East River Valley. The scope includes one roof addition for the primary residence and a second for the guest house. Both additions are designed to protect the decks from heavy winter snowfall while providing shade from the intense summer sun, allowing the outdoor spaces to remain comfortable and usable throughout the year.

My Role
Serving as the lead project designer, I guided the project through all phases of the design process. I developed the roof additions to seamlessly integrate with the existing architecture of both the primary residence and the guest house. In response to the client’s priorities, I focused on a straightforward, efficient design approach that minimized construction costs while maximizing long-term value for the property.
Results
The project was completed successfully in the fall of 2024. The clients were pleased that both the design and construction remained within budget while creating covered deck spaces that can be comfortably used during the winter months, even under heavy snowfall.
